loud bugs and new recepies

Not completely related of course...

Above you see a cicada (say: sih-kay-duh) - Webster has a nice loving and gentle way of describing these things - but I'll tell you the truth about these big-headed bugs. They make a LOT of noise...and the more of them there are, the louder it gets...naturally. Here in Roach, Missouri - they are prolific to say the least. One can hear their obnoxious and incessant symphony at any time of day or night - Their song can seemingly penetrate soundproof walls...which we do not (unfourtunately) have here in our new apartment.

And for new recepies...

This week was a week of culinary adventures in our new home. Above is pictured the thrilling success story of my first home made pizza! (Notice the pleasant grin on Phil's face) He is a connoisseur of sorts when it comes to pizza, and I must admit that I attempted this little feat with a bit of trepidation - But alas, we are newly married, and he shall smile and say it tastes good, because he is nice. :0) (and i think it actually didn't taste so bad as all that anyways, which always helps a little grin).
