catch up
We had such a great time catching up with dear friends in PA. Here are a few photos from our week across the state.
In Lancaster with my best friend from High School, Julie and her husband Anthony. We didn't have nearly enough time together. :( Love you, Jules.
From Lancaster to Marrietta to see the Buckners, stopping to drive an ice cream truck.
This photo irritates Phil, and cracks me up. It encapsulates so very much. We're on a tiny tour ride at Hershey Park, and Phil is annoyed with Quinn for many of the same reasons I get annoyed with Nadia. Quinn is a mini-Phil. Nadia is a mini-me. Not too much else to explain there, I'm sure.
Phil and Will back together again. These long lapses between seeing our friends takes its toll on us after awhile. Most of the time we don't even notice it. But when we get the chance to visit once again, it's all too easy to remember why we're getting weary of goodbyes.
Lauren, Lyla and Will pose at the playground for a quick smile. Thank you, Buckners for a fun time, and for your friendship!
The mini-me, making the best of a totally fun time on the swings with her new little friend, "Delilah". Poor Lyla is now forever known to the Svobodas as "Delilah" - simply because our 3 year old has a tiny hang up with that name right now for some reason.
Last but not least, we made our way out to Lock Haven, where we hung out with the Grimes. Josh, Sarah, Ava, Isaac and little bitty baby Piper (coming soon!).
Nadia, Ava and Isaac had so much fun together that there were actually tears when it came time to say bye for now. That was the hardest thing about saying goodbye to the Grimes - aside from the fact that they might be one of the few families that we think could actually just drop everything and move to Indonesia with us, and actually like it. :) We wish they would.
They also took new family photos for us, so stay tuned for those. These are a few from that set while the kids played.
"Simon says stick 'em up!"

How fun! I didn't know Will & Josh had families. Fun to "see" them again after so long. Love you!
