We've been in Indonesia for a few days now, and we've been enjoying ourselves as much as possible. Granted, the 12 hour time difference is really beginning to catch up with us, and the heat can be pretty intense. Other than those obvious hurdles, we've been doing great.

Nadia really likes the resident dog here at the mission house, Joey. She's pretty determined to touch him, and he's pretty determined to keep out of her reach. Smart dog.

Just sitting in the shade, relaxing by the koi pond.

Here's the mandi (mahn-dee). It's a dipper shower. The tub is full of room temperature water, the dipper is how you get it out, there is a drain on the floor, and we just splash our way clean. So far, i think it's one of my favorite things here.

I just thought this broom was pretty. Some mundane things strike me as beautiful in their simplicity and efficiency.

I'm really looking forward to seeing things through your camera lenses! It'll be interesting to see your pictures and hear your stories!
I love the Nadia-sized Adirondack chair by the koi pond. She looks so natural and comfy there. I too love that broom picture. Keep taking these cool pictures and before I know it I am going to have a house full of Indonesian art!!! Yay!
