Nativity Love

The day after Thanksgiving, I dug out my shoebox of Christmas things, and let Nadia have a peek. We set up the Nativity Scene, and ever since then, she's been enthralled. The donkey is her very favorite. She thinks he looks sad: "Mama, why he so sad? He didn't have his mom? The baby, He just happy cause of He has His mom."

Side note: Most of my days are spent between the couch, our bed and the bathroom. "Morning" sickness has hit me very hard this time. Between nausea and the heat here, I'm usually good for nothing. Poor Nadia. Poor Phil.

The nativity sheep also provide endless entertainment for the Two Year Old. They have the unique ability to role play many parts: Actual sheep, mommy and baby...

... fighter jets, motorcycles ...

A few nights ago, after finding a string of pretty Christmas lights in town, we decided to decorate and light the tree.

Our tiny tree stands 13 inches tall, but to the Two Year Old, it's just as wonderful as a giant Rockerfeller Center pine... maybe even better.
