busy days in the baystate

As days turn from spring to summer here in New England, we're enjoying the warm weather and sunshine and everything that comes with it; fresh, local strawberries, growing gardens, bike rides, ice cream cones, late sunsets, thunderstorms, cook outs and refreshing dips in a pool.

Busy cooking at Memere's kitchen table, making brownies for dessert.

Brave Memere teaching T2YO how to use the hose. She MUST be a glutton for punishment... or very very ready for a cold shower.

Washing "Old Gold", our beloved, faithful, borrowed furlough Buick. Thank you, Eichleburgers! Thank you, Memere, for teaching T2YO how to use the hose. Now, "Old Gold" will get a bath every time he needs one.

Pulling the clothesline to get the drying clothes into the sunshine.

"Dress ups" takes on a whole new meaning when played with a couple of teenage sisters. :)

Dirty feet from working in our quickly growing veggie garden.

Phil took me away for a night in Boston to celebrate our 5th Anniversary (July 22nd)! We saw this shirt while strolling around aimlessly. If it had not cost $38 (are these people on crack?!?) to buy it, we just might have.

Phil fully enjoyed his long-awaited and much-anticipated breakfast sandwich. He's been talking about that sandwich for the past 2 years, and this weekend we had the chance to make his breakfast dreams come true! He was such a happy boy.

Walking around for a day and a half with 4 weeks left to go in this pregnancy was both fun (because it was just the 2 of us - and i love Boston) and tortuous (because... i have 4 weeks left before this kid shows up... and my feet ((and hips, and back, and belly, etc, etc, etc)) are protesting... loudly).
Also, for the record, i ordered a SMALL iced coffee. What in the world?!

We had a lovely time away without our lovely little 2YO (thanks, mom and dad - and Nicole!). We decided that in light of everything that will be going on during our ACTUAL anniversary this year, we should probably celebrate it now while there is still time and energy at the same time. So glad we did!
