1 Year

A year ago this week (July 22nd) - Phil and i got married here in my hometown in MA.
We've had a wonderful first year together - and i am especially thankful for my husband and the joy, friendship and gentleness he's brought to my life. Here are a few of our favorite pictures from our wedding day.

Though it is traditional for the groom to hold/carry his bride - in this instance, he flatly refused. He was dreadfully ill, and could hardly stand - So, my baby brother took the load for this picture - notice he's the only one holding me (you can see the strain in his face) - the rest of the guys are merely pretending...and wondering why they have to do this. Thanks, boys!

And here we have unwilling-Phil catering once again to his new wife's weirdo wishes - it was funny, alright?

Thank you, Jenn DeAtley, again - a thousand times - for letting me wear your dress! Everytime anyone sees these pictures, they comment on my good taste in a dress - and i always get to share that i borrowed from you - therefore it is you who has the good taste. :0)

And thank you, Phil for your love - You have graced my life with so much more than i ever thought possible for a girl like me.

love ya,

shell

He's gonna kill me

Here is an endearing photo of my Phil after a long day at work. He's filthy dirty, very very warm and kinda hungry too. He's working for a friend from church renovating the oldest house in East Longmeadow - It was built sometime in 1720, and is a beautiful piece of history. Needless to say, it's also a ton of work, and Phil comes home a tired boy -
We're so thankful for work!

And here i am in our laundry room/study/office - looking for something to keep me occupied - i still need to find a job, and in the meantime, i'm trying desperately not to go stir crazy looking for CONstructive (not de-strucive) things to do. :0) i've been cooking a lot...and reading...

from the garden

Here is just one of the many of the flowers we are finding in my mom's old garden here in MA. We are continuing to settle in and look for work, as well as meet up with old friends as well as new ones.
