We're Going Where!?!?

We think this photo of Nadia is pretty funny - The look on her face also reflects sort of how we're feeling these days. We just got news last week that our visas have been approved. We have purchased plane tickets, and are leaving next month for Indonesia.
We are excited, and nervous, and terrified, and overwhelmed, and thankful, and happy...

So, here is Phil getting WiiFit at Buckners. There is not too much else to say. Just watch the whole video - I promise it's worth it. You may need a box of tissues...

Friends: Part 2 of Many
Steve and Karen Boisvert are another couple that God has blessed us with, and their friendship has been so important to us. Steve and Karen are known best to us for their shameless advocacy of "our cause". Steve can be a bit incorrigible at times, and he's been like a brother to us in his care over us. They are in charge of a group of people from our home church who have committed themselves to praying for us while we're away, and we are so thankful for that!

We're not sure why they love us so much, but it is obvious that they do.
And we love them too. Thank you, Boisverts!

Friends: Part 1 of Many
As we make our way out east to Massachusetts, we are making some stops to visit old friends. The Grimes Family is one set of friends that we like to make a point to visit every chance we get. I'd like to brag on these dear friends of ours for just a minute...
Josh and Sarah Grimes (also The Cat in the Hat and Thing 2), are two people we admire very much. They were our very first financial supporters (Josh still thinks that maybe we'll name a tribal person after him...), they are parents to two adorable kiddos, they are church planters in the Lock Haven, PA area, they are exceptional photographers (our wedding was their first), and to top it all off, they just opened a coffee shop (Avenue 209 in Lock Haven, PA), which is going remarkably well for any new business. We are thankful for them, we are proud of them, we love them, and we know we could never even attempt to do all they do, nor could we even think of doing what we're about to do without friends like them behind us. Thanks Grimes.05 March 2009

Michelle is right, the baby in the photo is Shelley. Here we all are at about 6 or 7 months.

For those of you who follow our every move, we're leaving tomorrow for a 3 week trip out east. We are going to pay another visit to our home church as well as my (shelley's) family, and many of you all on the way. We are still awaiting news about our visas, and we'll be sure to post something as soon as we hear.
