park zoo

We just arrived in Chicagoland yesterday afternoon. Here are a few photos from our last day in MA. We've got great Photos from our time in PA, and I'll post those soon. For now, chew on these. :)

At Forest Park, playing on the monkey bars.

Hangin' with Daddy.

Petting a llama at the Forest Park Zoo.

Thanking Kim and Amy for Fuzzy Little Lamb and Delilah. :) And also for the iPad2. Yeah... that's what i said. The iPad2. Yikes. Thank you.

Thank you also, Mom and Dad for a really, really fun summer. What a whole lot we jammed in there. We love you!

butterflies

Before we left Massachusetts last Thursday, we had some last minute fun with my parents. Here are some photos from our morning at Magic Wings, the butterfly conservatory.

Warming up in the gentle sunshine.

No idea what any of these are called. This one reminds me of a stoplight.

We just walked through the greenhouse-like area and the butterflies flitted and darted all over the place. Sometimes one would land right on us.

Sleepy Quinn had one land on his head.

Somehow all of us were really tired out by strolling around and watching butterflies gently flit around all morning. :)

sleepy head

Here's our little cutie pie taking (another) nap. He's the sleepiest little guy i've ever known. But it looks like all that sleeping is paying off; he's growing like a weed. In the last week he's put on at least a pound, and has officially outgrown his newborn clothes. At 6 weeks, he's donning size 3 months duds. We're so thankful that he's healthy (and happy)!

Fill 'Er Up

Our time in New England has been so wonderful. We feel like we've had the chance to fill up on sweet memories as we've spent time with loved ones, friends, family and supporters. (We plan to leave the week of the 22nd of this month).

Last night was no exception as we caught up with some old friends (and co-workers - and boss :) of mine, Kim and Amy. A few years ago, I used to see these guys daily, and we made lots of fun memories in the office together. Kim and I were cubicle buddies, and Amy was my boss. Now, they're our dear friends, advisors and supporters. We love you guys!

Nadia found "dress up clothes" in the garage. Of course she has no idea that hats and gloves are for anything but play time.

A push bike!

Um... who wants to ride a push bike when Miss Amy will let you try out the Beemer?

AND let you push the buttons? AND let you crank the radio as loud as you want?? And then paint your nails, give you ice cream and draw with sidewalk chalk for an hour or more?

AND demonstrate "ZACTLY" how the big wheel works. (*evil grin* you. love. me).

Thanks Amy and Kim for a fun evening, and for everything you do for our family!

Expires in 5 Years

Our (earless??) Slavic Mobster in his first passport photo. We laugh so hard every time we look at this. "I breaka you face." If ever you're interested in a true adventure, attempt securing a passport photo of a newborn. After many, many attempts and some serious cropping and editing, we have this passable hilarity.
He's such a cutie these days, and this photo does not do him justice. :0)

Title-less

Here are some odd ball photos of what we've been up to lately.

At "Baby" Ella's 2nd birthday party. Chillin with Auntie Jojo and
Auntie Laura (2 of my dad's sisters)

Sitting at church listening to the musicians warm up. See the blur that her hands are? She was clapping along. :)

Librarian Nadia taking a water break. (Memere's reading glasses are part of a very important dress up scheme)

"Hey Mommy, look! That cloud is a fork!"

kakak

Kakak Nadia (big sister nadia) loves cuddling with her Bitty Boy. She's a fantastic big sister.

Singing a lullaby

Quinn loves it when she lavishes her attention on him. He looks right into her eyes and has started smiling at her.

Somehow even in her vice-like embrace, he manages to find sleep.
