Day #3
We've been in Indonesia for a few days now, and we've been enjoying ourselves as much as possible. Granted, the 12 hour time difference is really beginning to catch up with us, and the heat can be pretty intense. Other than those obvious hurdles, we've been doing great.

First Leg... Completed
Well, we’re here. Here is Jakarta, Indonesia. Our flights were fairly smooth. None of the three of us slept much at all, but we are safe. All of our luggage made it to Jakarta, and it only has one or two more legs left to go.
We are exhausted, we’re dirty and grimy, and we are excited to brush our teeth and change our clothes and go to bed.
I’m sure we’ll write more later.

Phil and Shelley and Nadia

We're Outta Here
We leave today for Indonesia. The next post you read will be from the other side of the world. We are both feeling very excited and nervous, and the stress of the past few weeks has begun to take its toll, but overall we are thrilled to make our next move!

city walking
Here we are on a recent trip to the city. It was freezing that day, but Nadia stayed pretty snug and warm in her little cocoon, and it sure beats carrying her in my arms. By the end of a regular day my arms feel ready to fall out of their sockets. She officially weighs 25 pounds - all dead weight. She's still learning to hang on and hold herself up, but for now it's kind of like lugging 3 gallons of milk around all day.

some recent cuteness
Well, in the midst of all our packing, preparing and psychosis, Nadia has remained the little light of our lives. Here are some recent shots of her being her.
Yesterday zoning out with her bottle.
Last week making a mess on the back deck... and loving it. I think she looks just like my little brother P.J. in this one... maybe it's the food plastered all over her face?
All bundled up for some remaining chilly days.
This one is from January. Micah "hugs" Nadia, and Nadia "hugs" back. It deteriorated quickly to hair pulling and some pushing over of the "smaller" of the two (can you take a guess who might be smaller now? The 9 month old, or the 19 month old?)... but it was pretty adorable while it lasted.
